Secondary Articulations

A secondary articulation is a modification layered onto a segment you already know — holding a consonant longer, rounding the lips through it, letting air through the nose during a vowel. The base inventory stays on the main Chart so it reads as a clean survey; these build on it. If you haven’t worked through the Chart yet, start there.
